Over 154,000 job opportunities abroad for Uzbeks across key sectors, including Germany and South Korea – DARYO.UZ – CENTRAL ASIA & AFGHANISTAN NEWS
More than 154,000 job vacancies have been identified for Uzbek citizens in countries such as Germany, South Korea, Turkey, Lithuania, Great Britain, Poland, Latvia, Japan, and Romania. The available jobs span across various sectors including medicine, production, services, construction, agriculture, IT, truck driving, welding, and electrical work. This information was disclosed by Artikkhoja Norov, head of the information service of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency, during a briefing on October 11.
Agreements with 25 German employers’ organizations have paved the way for around 60,000 Uzbeks to work in Germany, either directly or through dual education programs (Ausbildung) in fields like medicine, driving, production, and services. These jobs offer an average salary of $2,100 per month.
In the United Kingdom, there are 10,000 vacancies in the medical field and 3,000 seasonal agricultural positions, with wages averaging $2,500.
Additionally, projects are underway to send more than 26,000 Uzbeks to European countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Bulgaria for jobs as truck drivers, and in production, construction, and services. These positions offer an average salary of $1,400.
South Korea has allocated 13,700 job vacancies this year in fields like production, services, agriculture, construction, shipbuilding, mining, and forestry. The average monthly salary for these positions is $2,000, a significant increase compared to previous years.
Norov also emphasized that candidates with foreign language skills and relevant qualifications can apply for these vacancies either directly or through local neighborhood representatives.
